PRODUCT DETAILS
Moonstone is a beautiful and enchanting gemstone known for its adularescence, a shimmering, milky light that seems to float just beneath the surface. This effect is caused by the scattering of light within the layers of the stone, creating a luminous glow that resembles moonlight. Moonstone has been cherished for centuries, particularly in cultures that associate it with mysticism and feminine energy.
Moonstone primarily comes in white or colorless varieties, but it can also be found in shades of peach, gray, blue, and rainbow. The most famous variety is the rainbow moonstone, which shows flashes of blue, white, or multicolored light, giving it a dreamlike appearance. The unique adularescence (the glowing, ethereal shimmer) is what makes moonstone stand out. This is the result of the stone’s internal structure, which scatters light in a way that creates the shimmering effect when the stone is moved. Moonstone often forms in cabochons (rounded or domed shapes) to best showcase its adularescence, though it can also be found in faceted stones, beads, or tumbled pieces. It is a relatively soft stone, measuring about 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale of hardness, which makes it ideal for jewelry but requires some care to avoid scratching. Most moonstones have a translucent or semi-transparent look, with the shimmering effect being the main visual feature, rather than the stone being completely clear.
Eagle Eye Stone, also known as Hawk's Eye, is a gemstone that belongs to the family of Tiger's Eye stones. It is a type of quartz that exhibits a distinctive chatoyancy (the cat's eye effect) due to its fibrous structure. The stone typically appears in shades of blue to bluish-gray, giving it a striking resemblance to the color of an eagle’s eye or the feathers of a hawk.
